Capt. Dave fishes from one of the world’s finest technical poling skiffs,  a 17 ft.  Maverick HPX-V.  This skiff is the choice of some of the  world’s most particular guides and fishermen.  The boat is constructed of carbon fiber and Kevlar, making it incredibly strong and incredibly light.  The boat poles in inches of water enabling you to reach Reds in water so shallow the fishes’ backs are showing.  Maverick’s unique hull design produces zero wave slap, meaning a quiet, stealthy approach so you are close enough to make the perfect cast needed to catch the spookiest fish.

The boat is rigged with a Carbon Marine, carbon fiber casting platform; Minn Kota remote control trolling motor; Garmin GPS/Depth Finder and VHF for emergency contact.  The “V” hull slices through nasty chop for a smooth, comfortable ride.  The 90 hp Yamaha allows you to get from spot to spot quickly, maximizing your fishing time.
